Domestic airlines to add more flights for Dashain

Domestic airlines have announced that they will increase flights to various routes during Dashain. Buddha Air and Yeti Airlines will increase flights for two days in the Bhadrapur sector. Both carriers currently operate two daily flights to Bhadrapur. Yeti Airlines is also planning to increase flights to Tumlingtar.

Tara Air is planning to have two additional flights to Lamindanda and Rumjhatar. Nepal Airlines is also planning to increase flights to various routes in the country. Thousands of passengers travel to various parts of the country for Dashain festival. The domestic airlines face overload lasting more than a week during Dashain.

According to media reports, all flights from Kathmandu have been sold out for October 12 to 15 while 80% of the flights to Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj have been booked until October 12.  According to Tribhuvan International Airport, 272 domestic flights take-off and land during Dashain compared to 170 flights during normal days.
